The previous Prince Jammy won his royal title when he revolutionized reggae with the first 100% digital riddim, Sleng Teng, produced in 1985. Since then, he has also produced hundreds of riddims for a lot of singers on different labels or on his own, Jammy’s Records. A large part of his riddims are still used and remixed and have become classics in reggae culture. King Jammy is one of the last Jamaican producers from the Golden Age. Still busy since 30 years old, King Jammy is today a well-known artist and his work is regularly re-edited. King Jammy is back on the scene with « Waterhouse Dub », released in August 2017. The legendary Jamaican producer dove back into his productions of yesteryear with « Please Officer » and « Boom Shack A Lack » from Junior Reid to offer us rub-a-dub versions in the purest Jamaican traditions that he is so good at!
