A disciple of Lee “Scratch” Perry, Mad Professoris one of the second reggae dub generation’s major producers. His albums « Dub Me Crazy » produced by his label and studio « Ariwa », have actively participated in the transition towards digital era that reggae knew in the eighties. Leader of British dub, he turned out to be a little genius of electronic manipulation and was able, very early on, to make his own material which will provide him his stage name: Mad Professor. His collaborations with Jah Shaka, Buju Banton, Pato Banton, Johnny Clarke or Horace Andy strengthen his key role in this scene. In 2005, Mad Professor celebrated the 25th anniversary of Ariwa with a tour in England supporting Lee “Scratch” Perry and a double record « Method To The Madness ». In 2011, he released « Roots of Dubstep ». Traveling the world to meet sound lovers, Mad Professor is indisputably a keystone in history of bass music. In 2017 he collaborated with Jah9 for « In the Midst of the Storm » where two generations and two universes meet each other. The reggae revival revelation, Jah9, entrusts her album “9” to the English producer and he revisits it with the talent he is famous for! In May 2018 with his new album « Electro Dubclubbing », which is resolutely rooted in the modern era. In 2019, he pushes the boundaries of technology to invent even more special songs like on this latest album : "Queens of Ariwa" (Jah9, Hollie Cook, Caroll Thompson...) or in collaboration with Cedric Myton (The Congos), U-Roy or Lee Scratch Perry.
